Donate Your Slides: Save History from the Bin

Thank you for helping us rescue forgotten history! Your donation ensures that priceless memories and global history captured on 35mm slides do not end up in landfill.

Important: Undigitized Slides Only

There are literally millions of slides around Australia that need saving. Our mission is focused entirely on preventing loss. For this reason, we only accept slides that have NOT already been digitized.

If your slides have already been scanned, they are safe and preserved! Please offer us only those collections that are otherwise heading for the rubbish bin.

Add Context: Help Us Tell the Story

If you can, please put a note in with the slides saying a bit about the person who took the photos or owned the collection (e.g., "Owned by John and Mary Smith, From, Farmer, who travelled the world in the 1970s").

This information is invaluable! It allows the collection to be properly attributed if the images are ever used in the tabletop book or published on this website.

South Australia (Adelaide & Surrounding Regions)

If you are located in Adelaide or the surrounding South Australian regions, we are happy to make the donation process easy for you.

  • Free Collection: We can arrange a time to personally pick up your slides, saving you the hassle and cost of shipping. Please contact us directly via email or phone message to arrange collection.

Rest of Country / Interstate

If you are outside of South Australia, we urge you to still donate and save your slides!

  • Shipping Address: Slides can be mailed to our dedicated P.O. Box address below:

    Save Your Slides,

  • PO BOX 305,

  • Stirling,

  • SA 5152

  • Shipping Cost: We understand that shipping costs will be incurred by you. We urge you to absorb this cost to save history and the memories of the people who took them, if you are in a financial position to do so. Every box shipped is a piece of history saved!

  • Can't Ship? Don't Throw Them Out! If you are interstate and cannot cover the cost of shipping, please do not throw out the slides. Get in touch with us; we will try and work something out!

What Happens Next?

By donating, you are entrusting us with a piece of the past. Your slides immediately become part of our three-stage preservation mission: they are rescued from the bin, digitized for the future, and considered for the Maybe One Day Tabletop Book.

If you would like to support the ongoing operational and digitization costs of our mission, please go to our [Support Us] page.
