I started Save Your Slides as a personal project and quickly realized the immense number of collections that need saving from the bin. I currently fund everything myself, but there is so much more I could do if I had the proper finances. My long-term hope is to make this my main source of income so I can dedicate myself to this full-time.

Rescue Time & Logistics: Allows me to focus more hours on collecting and organizing the slides, covering fuel costs (two, three, or four-hour drives for pick-ups are common), and the future need for dedicated archival storage for the physical collections.
Digital Infrastructure: Funds the specialized equipment (scanners, hard drives) needed for digitization, as well as the cost of running and hosting this website.
Why Support Me? The Scanner Goal
I am currently paying over $1 per photo to digitize a slide. With thousands of slides already waiting to be processed, this approach is simply not cost-effective.
My top priority is to acquire a professional-grade scanner, the Epson Perfection V850 Pro, which costs over $1,500. This essential piece of equipment will allow me to bring thousands of slides online efficiently and affordably. The first funds I raise will be dedicated exclusively to purchasing this scanner.
